The US Department of Education offers students and their parents two loans programs – Federal Direct Student Loan Program (FDLP) and Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP)
The Federal Direct Student Loan Program (FDLP) is also known as “Direct Loans” is a program by means of which students may get federal student loans as Stafford Loans or PLUS Loans. According to this program, money for student loans comes from US Treasury.
The Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) is another federal loan program according to witch different private financial organizations such as banks and credit unions, give money for student loans.
As for the amount of money, which you receive, it depends upon conditions of loan program, college, or university, which you have chosen, and from your speciality.
